When to clone a product?

If you have 2 products that are identical in nature with a couple of changes, then clone it. Cloning will keep all of the information on the product such as product choices and categories.

How to clone a product

• Log in to your administrator account.
• Click on the "Catalog" tab.
• Click on "Products" in the left hand navigation.
• If you don't see any products, then click on the yellow "Find" button to show all of your products.
• Find the product you would like to clone.
• Put an x in the checkbox next to it's name.
• Next to the yellow "Clone" botton on the right, type in the new SKU.
• Now, click on the "Clone" button.
• At this point the product detail edit page will show up.
• Change the name of the product and any details you would like.
• That's it!
